Starting his career with Noble Drilling in 1978, Mark has over 40 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry with over 25 years directly in the artificial lift field. He specializes in rod lift applications with predictive designs, correct product selection, guide placement and failure analysis. Mark also has extended experience with subsurface pumps and their applications. Mark is recognized as being one of the best predictive rod design experts in the industry, helping his customers to optimize the entire artificial lift system. He can also recommend solutions for existing troublesome wells. Mark’s experience in Montana, North Dakota, Kansas, Oklahoma and West Texas gives him a strong understanding of different environments and how to best optimize and design for challenging well bores.
With over 40 years in the oil and gas industry, Jim has extensive expertise in artificial lift applications specializing in rods and sub surface pumps. His experience is widespread. Jim’s knowledge from the New Mexico San Juan Basin, North Dakota Bakken, Utah Uinta Basin and oilfields in Eastern Colorado and California is valuable in his ability to suggest and optimize rod lift applications in a wide variety of well environments.
Jim started his career in 1978 in the sub surface pump shop with Oilwell Supply in Fort Morgan Colorado, he also worked as a store manager for The Bovaird Supply Company in Farmington NM. In 1992 Jim moved back to Denver to work for Norris rods and in 2007 he became Sales manager. In June of 2010 Jim and 6 of his co-workers started Rod Lift Consulting which later sold to Schlumberger. Jim joined US Rod Company in 2018 as National Sales Manager. Jim has developed many close friendships over the course of his career and has been an API member for 30 years and a SPE member for 25 years.
