POSITION PURPOSE
US Rod Manufacturing, LLC is a brand-new state of the art fast-growing, technologically-driven manufacturing firm that is seeking a qualified Forge Machine Operator. This position will provide the successful candidate with the chance to apply their knowledge, learn new skills and work as a team within a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate for this role has 5+ years’ experience in the manufacturing sector, pays strong attention to detail and is committed to workplace safety.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Review shop order packet for procedural instructions.
- Perform and assists own setups.
- Check dimensions of parts and holds tolerance of plus or minus .001.
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies.
- Measure and inspect machined parts to ensure conformance to product specifications and record QC data.
- Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
- Use of most types of inspection gages. Example ID/OD micrometers.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- 5 Years Machinery Experience
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift to 65 pounds.
- Ability to work in a hot environment.
