Injection Mold Technician
US Rod is currently looking for Injection Mold Technicians.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific responsibilities may include:
Perform setup, startup, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of the injection molding presses, all auxiliary equipment and all secondary production equipment while ensuring that safety and quality are the prime initiatives.
Independently perform machine adjustments within allowable parameters, perform routine machine maintenance tasks and minor repairs on all production equipment, including molders and peripheral quality equipment on assigned lines.
Ensure adherence to customer specifications and accurately document all QC records related to downtime, production, scrap, repairs, process deviation, etc.
Perform other miscellaneous support work to enable the team to be successful and as requested by plant leadership. Assist in the duties of other team members, including helping to cover break times, etc.
While not working with machine, the employee is required to maintain the quality of the production floor and to monitor process parameters regularly.
The employee is required to work in a moderate noise levels in the workplace and keep all manufacturing area neat and clean.
Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to API Q1/ISO 9001:2015 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.
Understand the implications of not conforming to QMS requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
High School diploma is required.
EXPERIENCE
Five (5) plus years of experience in the manufacturing sector.
Injection Mold Set Up apprenticeship highly desirable.
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience with set-ups and troubleshooting for issues such as flash, shortshot, etc., in Plastic Injection Molding environment.
Experience working in an API Q1/ISO 9001:2015 environment a plus.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Able to perform programming functions and troubleshoot robotics and automation systems.
