POSITION PURPOSE
US Rod Services, LLC is a state of the art fast-growing, technologically driven manufacturing firm that is seeking a qualified Quality Technician. This position will provide the successful candidate with the chance to apply their knowledge, learn new skills and work as a team within a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate for this role has 5+ years’ experience in the manufacturing sector, pays strong attention to detail and is committed to workplace safety.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Perform material and product tests using quality lab test equipment and formal testing methods. |
Perform in-process audits and internal audits to verify standard operating procedures are being followed. |
Maintain Quality records and samples per written procedures. |
Work with production supervisors within a team environment in meeting customer quality requirements and solve quality issues. |
Communicates effectively with all manufacturing personnel, next shift personnel and others in a professional manner. |
Assist QA manager as directed. |
Support compliance activities in support of the plant gaining API Q1/ISO 9001 and Monogram registered. |
Work with measurements, micrometers, and other specific lab tests to ensure product quality. |
Keep work areas clean and orderly. |
Prepare records, reports and enter data to provide documentation and to support Quality department. |
Work overtime as needed. |
Must follow established safety guidelines. |
Must have a good working relationship with Production Supervisors, operators, finishing personnel, support groups to manufacturing, and management. |
Attend monthly safety meetings and observe all safety policies and procedures. |
Performs other related duties as directed by the Quality Manager

High School Diploma or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
