Sucker Rod Guides:

Pony Rods
US Rod Manufacturing’s pony rods are expertly crafted to deliver reliable performance and durability in your rod lift system. Designed to bridge the gap between standard-length sucker rods, they provide flexibility in achieving the desired rod string length without compromising strength or stability.
Manufactured domestically with precision engineering and rigorous quality control, our pony rods are built to withstand demanding well conditions. Enhanced by the Q2 Advantage, they deliver the consistent performance and longevity you need to maintain efficient operations and minimize downtime.
Rod Guides
Manufactured to the Highest Standards
US Rod rod guides are designed and manufactured using the most advanced designs and thermoplastics. Our guides will maximize the life of your most demanding applications including wells that are deviated or directional, high temperature, corrosive, high water cuts and solids.
Bullet
The curved vane design distributes the load over a wider portion of the tubing and increases the ability of the rod string to rotate when used with a rod rotator. The 5-1/2” Bullet rod guide offers superior protection with greater EWV (Erodible Wear Volume) than the competition. Every Bullet has wear indicators molded into the guide for a quick visual confirmation of when it’s time for replacement.
Better Design, Better Defense, Better Flow
Every Bullet sucker rod guide has extended tapered ends that minimizes fluid drag and lowers the chance of corrosion occurring on the leading edge during the downstroke.
Bullet EX
Two inches longer than the Bullet, the Bullet EX uses the same curved vane design for increased EWV. The longer design is recommended for wells greater than 10° inclination or a dogleg severity greater than 5°/100ft.
Xtreme-LT Rod Guide
The Xtreme-LT is specifically designed to minimize guide induced corrosion failures and reduce fluid drag in high viscosity fluids. The narrow vanes allow for greater fluid bypass and the longer length stabilizes the flow before exiting the Xtreme-LT. The Xtreme-LT is recommended for corrosive environments and wells with viscous fluid.
AU, PK-U
Specifically blended for US Rod, materials such as AU and PK-U do not contain reinforcing glass fibers. The removal of glass fibers lowers the abrasiveness of the plastic, but also increases the wear rate. These materials are best suited for wells with coated or lined tubing. PK-U has better wear properties than AU, but a lower maximum operating temperature.
AF
AF is a proven thermoplastic that has been used in the oilfield since the early 1990’s. Our blend uses 33% glass filled PPA and can be used in most applications. Because AF is hygroscopic (absorbs water), the maximum continuous use temperature is limited by the water cut of the well.
PPS
PPS is another oilfield proven plastic. US Rod’s specifically formulated blend has 40% glass fibers. It has excellent wear properties, is non-hygroscopic and superior chemical resistance. This gives PPS the ability to be used in almost any application below 400°F (204°C).
PPS-Max
Designed for the Eagle Ford, PPS-MAX is formulated to give the best performance of any plastic in the oilfield. PPS-MAX is selected for use in the most demanding applications. From extreme temperatures to extreme sideloads, PPS-MAX combined with the proper design will protect your tubing string long after other plastics have failed.
PK-F
PK-F is the newest plastic introduced to the oilfield. With 30% glass fiber reinforced, it gives better wear than AF and is non-hygroscopic.

Couplings
US Rod Manufacturing’s couplings are expertly engineered to deliver secure, reliable connections between sucker rods in your rod lift system. Manufactured domestically and held to the highest quality standards, our couplings feature an enhanced face and tighter concentricity tolerances than standard API couplings—improving makeup precision and significantly reducing the risk of failures at over-torqued joints.
Built to perform in high-stress, abrasive, and corrosive environments, our couplings are available in standard, spray metal, and specialty configurations to meet a variety of operational needs. With the added benefit of the Q2 Advantage, you can count on superior strength, durability, and dependable performance to keep your operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Stabilizer Bars
Type DS – Specifically formulated to extend runtime on downhole pumps, sinker bars and tubing.
US Rod DS stabilizer bars are manufactured from the same proven AISI-4320M alloy steel as our full-length DS sucker rods. Using the same high-quality standards as our other US Rod products, these stabilizer bars will help to extend the life of your downhole pump, sinker bars and tubing.
US Rod Stabilizer Bars are recommended to centralize your pump plunger during the downstroke, reducing drag and lowering the chance of premature wear on pump parts and tubing. US Rod Stabilizer bars can also reduce buckling tendencies, improving your downhole pump efficiency and resulting in more production. Available in 30 in or 48 in lengths with one Bullet EX guide (30 in) or 3 Bullet EX guides (48 in).
Supported by the Q2 Advantage, our stabilizer bars deliver the reliability and durability you need to maintain rod alignment and reduce wear in demanding well conditions.

Sinker Bars
US Rod Manufacturing’s newly developed sinker rod is an innovative evolution of the traditional sinker bar—engineered to improve the performance and reliability of your rod lift system, especially in challenging well environments. This 1″ guided rod features an enhanced non-API pin design, allowing for easier makeup and streamlined installation, even in highly deviated wells where conventional sinker bars struggle to follow the curve.
Specifically designed to address the limitations of standard sinker bars in large bore pumping applications, this sinker rod reduces the risk of sagging and minimizes tubing wear just above the pump. Manufactured domestically with the precision and toughness you expect, it stands up to harsh conditions while keeping your sucker rod string properly tensioned and aligned. Backed by the Q2 Advantage, this next-generation sinker rod delivers the durability and dependability needed to keep your operations efficient and trouble-free.
Sinker Rods
Specifically formulated to extend runtime.
Engineered to maximize rod and tubing run time, the US Rod Sinker Rod maintains string tension to prevent buckling, reduce wear, and minimize pin failures. Made from high-quality SBQ steel and manufactured entirely in the USA, each rod is normalized, tempered, and shot peened for superior fatigue and corrosion resistance.
Backed by unmatched expertise and rigorous quality control, US Rod delivers dependable performance for demanding rod lift applications.
